FAQs

Getting started with Airi

Airi is a one‑click checkout payment solution that lets you pay online quickly and securely at merchants that support it, without having to re‑enter your payment details every time.

You can use Airi at any online merchant that supports Airi.

Look for the Airi logo or simply pay with your existing or new Airi account at checkout.

Airi is available at many merchants that use Airwallex for payment processing.

Anyone completing a payment at any merchant that supports Airi can sign up for an Airi account. You can also sign up for Airi directly on app.airi.com.

You can create an Airi account in two ways:

During checkout at a merchant that supports Airi

  1. Either click on the Airi logo or simply enter your email address and mobile phone number.
  2. Enter the one‑time code (OTP) sent via SMS or email.
  3. Add your payment details and complete your payment.

On the Airi website (app.airi.com)

  1. Go to app.airi.com.
  2. Click on "Sign up".
  3. Enter your email or mobile phone number and verify it using a one‑time password.
  4. Add a payment method such as your card and your billing address.
  5. You are now ready to start paying with Airi at any supported merchants.

Airi uses OTP for secure access – there is no password to create or remember.

Paying with Airi

After you create an Airi account and save at least one card, Airi will then recognise you:

On the same device and browser, using cookies:

  1. Select Airi at checkout.
  2. Confirm the payment. In most cases, this is a one‑click experience, aside from any extra authentication that might be required by your bank.

On a new device or browser:

  1. Enter your email or phone number.
  2. Enter the one‑time code sent to you.
  3. Confirm the payment.

Airi is designed to keep friction low while keeping your payments secure.

Airi is available to shoppers globally, except in countries or regions subject to applicable financial sanctions.

At this time, Airi is supported for merchants operating in:

  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • United States
  • Australia
  • European Union
  • United Kingdom
  • Malaysia
  • Canada
  • Israel

Security & privacy

Airi is built to meet modern security standards and requires:

  • One‑time codes (OTP) for login and key actions
  • Device and browser recognition to enable fast but secure one‑click checkout on familiar devices

Technical details such as card storage, PCI‑DSS compliance, and other certifications are handled by Airwallex.

Where required by your card issuer, the card network, or local regulations, additional authentication (such as 3D Secure / Strong Customer Authentication) may be requested during checkout. In those cases, you may be asked to confirm the payment via your bank's app, SMS, or other verification method.

At this stage, Airi does not support biometric login.

If you see a payment from your card that you do not recognise:

  1. Check whether someone else with access to your device or card may have made the purchase.
  2. Contact your bank or card issuer to report the transaction and, if needed, block your card. Your bank is best placed to investigate the charge and, where appropriate, raise a chargeback with the merchant.

If you also believe your Airi account itself has been accessed without your permission (for example, an unexpected login or a card added that isn't yours), contact us at https://www.airi.com/en/support/ so we can secure your account.

If you can no longer receive one-time passwords at the email address or phone number linked to your Airi account:

  1. Contact us at https://www.airi.com/en/support/ explaining the situation. Please include your name, the email/phone previously linked to your Airi account, and any other detail that may help us locate it.
  2. Our support team will run a short identity verification with you to confirm you are the account holder.
  3. Once verified, we can either:
    • Update the email address or phone number on your account so you can log in again, or
    • Close your account at your request, in which case your stored cards will be deleted from Airi.

If we cannot verify your identity, we will not be able to make changes to the account for security reasons.

You can request to close your Airi account in two ways:

From your Airi customer portal:

  1. Log in to your account on app.airi.com
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Click on the "Manage" button at the bottom of the page
  4. Select "Delete account" and follow the instructions in the popup

By contacting support:

Contact us at https://www.airi.com/en/support/ from the email address linked to your account and request the deletion of your Airi account.

Once your account is deleted:

  • Your stored cards are deleted from Airi.
  • You will no longer be able to use Airi at checkout unless you create a new Airi account.

Airi uses your information to:

  • Provide you with the Airi checkout experience
  • Process payments together with merchants and payment providers
  • Help detect and prevent fraud
